Renowned WSU wine scientist Tom Collins selected as inaugural Jackson Family Wines Endowed Professor

A longtime working relationship between Washington State University scientist Tom Collins and Jackson Family Wines has evolved into the creation of an endowed professorship that recognizes Collins’ impactful wine science research and supports WSU’s Department of Viticulture & Enology.

About the Author

Angela Sams is a PR/communications coordinator, self-proclaimed grammar nerd, and WSU alumna based in Spokane. With a professional history that includes everything from working in accounts receivable to managing a chiropractic office and editing a financial data newsletter, she was excited to join the CAHNRS Communications team and come home to WSU in 2022. Angela also runs the CAHNRS Instagram, takes photos for the college, and edits content as needed. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, cooking, reading, traveling, gardening, and playing the piano, though not necessarily all at once.
