Forest and farm owners are invited to attend a free workshop sponsored by Washington State University Extension and the Snoqualmie Watershed Forum on a number of federal, state and local grant and cost-share programs available for area landowners.
TACOMA, Wash. — Farms in three different areas of King and Pierce counties will open their gates to the public for the 2010 Harvest Celebration farm tours. The celebrations will occur on different days and each area will have several participating farms with a variety of family-friendly activities.
EVERETT, Wash. — Starting in September, Washington State University Extension and the King County Department of Natural Resources and Parks will offer their flagship Forest Stewardship Coached Planning series. During the course, woodland owners attending will be able to develop a personal Forest Stewardship Plan.
