John McNamara, emeritus professor of Animal Sciences at Washington State University, received national recognition for his more than 30 years of training future animal scientists.
Kristen Johnson, professor in the WSU Department of Animal Sciences, is serving as interim department chair as Margaret Benson phases into retirement.
Johnson’s contributions to WSU include 25 years as a respected teacher, student advisor and researcher in ruminant nutrition. Benson has led the department since 2007 and will return to the faculty as a professor, primarily working on special projects.
