Family Forester Workshop Slated to Help Foresters Strengthen Skills

SPOKANE, Wash. — Consulting foresters and other natural resource professionals who help family forest owners manage and sustain their woodlands require a unique set of skills. The 19th annual Family Foresters Workshop will provide an opportunity for those professionals to strengthen their skills, and discuss emerging technologies and information applicable to family forestry.

Recharging the Battery Made of Water

It’s that time of year once again. As a geologist, I’m not thinking of the holiday season when I note this time on the calendar. What’s impressed me lately is the clear start of the annual cycle in which we benefit from a recharging of the nation’s water supply.
