Limited registration opens Oct. 10 for Wheat Academy

PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State University Extension will host the annual Wheat Academy Dec. 13 and 14 in the Vogel Plant Biosciences Building teaching laboratories. Registration opens Monday, Oct. 10, and is limited to 75.

Hands-on, comprehensive learning will include the causes of low falling numbers, how spray particle sizes and nozzle selection affect drift, wheat growth and development, herbicide resistance and more. Participants will tour the $15 million Washington Grains Plant Growth Facility built in 2015.

Registration covers parking on campus, two lunches, a catered social hour and light refreshments throughout both days. Washington and Idaho pesticide recertification credits and certified crop advisor credits will be applied for.
