Debbie Handy was one of three individuals selected for the 2026 American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS) Distinguished Service Award. Representing the organization’s top honor, the Distinguished Service Award recognizes those who have made significant contributions to the field at the local, state, and national level, including involvement in grant writing and student leadership. Handy received the award in June during the AAFCS annual conference in Louisville, Kentucky.
