From Washington State University Extension, this is Food Safety in a Minute.
Stovetop and countertop, plug-in pressure cookers are very popular. Costs run from $35 for a simple stovetop model to hundreds of dollars for countertop models with multiple, customizable cooking features. Features such as browning and sautéing ingredients along with automated programming for slow cooking, steaming, and cooking rice. Size also affects costs with lower cost models at four (4) quart capacity and higher prices for 8
quarts.
Before you buy, investigate options online, explore the features and benefits of each. Read reviews, check out recipes and YouTube videos. If you’re new to pressure cooking, think about how you plan to use it and the amount of food you’ll be preparing in it. Like anything new, it takes time and practice.
