PULLMAN, Wash. — Kathy Barnard, associate director of university communications and marketing at the University of Idaho, will join the media relations staff of Washington State University’s College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences on Feb. 21.
Barnard brings more than 13 years of media relations experience at the University of Idaho to the position. She held successive positions as a police reporter, higher education reporter and business editor at the Lewiston Morning Tribune from 1981 to 1991.
She has a bachelor’s of arts in journalism from the University of Idaho.
Barnard will succeed Terence L. Day, who retired last June after 31 years with Washington State University.
