Resources for the End-use Advancement of Clean Hydrogen (REACH) is the state’s first program for end users to access clean hydrogen. The program, funded by the Washington State Department of Commerce, offers guidance, resources, and expert support to help you make the switch.

The submission form to participate is requested by June 19 at 5 p.m.

Clean hydrogen can cut emissions in places where electricity isn’t a good fit.
Through REACH, Washington organizations can access:
• Feasibility and cost analyses for infrastructure, equipment, etc. in a particular sector
• One-on-one technical assistance from clean hydrogen and alternative fuels specialists
• Published resources tailored to end-users in Washington

REACH is administered by the Consortium for Hydrogen and Renewably Generated E-Fuels (CHARGE) and the WSU Energy Program. The program is supported through a partnership with the state commerce department and funding from Washington’s Climate Commitment Act.

REACH is open to a broad range of Washington state organizations, including:
• Ports, airports, transit agencies, and public sector fleets
• Tribal nations and tribal enterprises
• Utilities and energy cooperatives
• Agriculture, maritime, and manufacturing industries
• Private businesses exploring hydrogen for fleet, industrial, or facility applications

This program supports entities in Washington seeking to incorporate hydrogen or renewable fuels into key sectors of the economy.

The process for starting the REACH program includes:
1. Submit the intake form about the project or company and its needs. Submit the form, preferably by June 19.
2. Connect with the REACH team to assess technical assistance needs.
3. Programs will be matched and provided with technical assistance.
