On Saturday the Seattle Times reported that proposed elimination of state subsidies because of budget woes could close county fairs across the state.

Thursday’s Bellingham Herald reported that the focus of this year’s annual Whatcom Farm Friends meeting will be on the community’s relationship with WSU.

The Everett Herald on Monday reported on workshops planned to help residents preserve Port Susan, mentioning that WSU Beach Watchers are actively engaged in the effort.
