Posted by lauren.paterson | December 17, 2020

Companies with a surplus in extra glass bottles are encouraged to donate their unused supply to the Viticulture & Enology Program.

“We bottle wines for academic as well as industry research, for trials and use in extension seminars and our viticulture and enology classes,” said Dr. Thomas Henick-Kling, director of the Viticulture and Enology program.

Acceptable bottle sizes include 375 ml, and 750 ml. Donated bottles must include Stelvin crew cap closures (screw caps). All colors and shapes are acceptable.

WSU will collect donated bottles from wineries located in Washington State.

Those interested in donating surplus glass bottles to the wine science program can contact WSU Research Winemaker Matthew Boenzli at matthew.boenzli@wsu.edu.
