Ana Espinola-Arredondo, associate professor in the School of Economic Sciences, has joined the editorial board of PLOS ONE, the open-access scientific journal published by the Public Library of Science.
Part of WSU’s faculty since 2009, Espinola-Arredondo explores environmental economics and game theory, studying the effects of environmental regulation on profits and consumer behavior. She was invited to join PLOS ONE this winter.
“As an academic editor, I support the PLOS mission of free, unrestricted access to scientific research, open data, and transparency in peer review, enabling the sharing of published work as rapidly and as widely as possible,” said Espinola-Arredondo. “My involvement as an editor helps guarantee that research in environmental economics is rigorously reviewed by specialists in the field, and also helps promote economic analysis of our changing climate and environmental regulation, which is increasingly critical.”
Founded in 2006, PLOS ONE (https://journals.plos.org/plosone/) features original research in the natural sciences, medicine, engineering, social sciences and humanities.
