Posted by | March 2, 2017

Each week, we will showcase one of our CAHNRS Ambassadors. Ambassadors is a student leadership organization that encourages students to pursue higher education and serves as a liaison between the college and the greater community. This week, we’re featuring Holly Lane, a junior from Auburn, Wash.

What are you studying?

I’m double majoring in Agricultural Biotechnology and Organic Agriculture Systems.

What is a fun fact about you?

I am a third generation WSU student!

Why WSU?

The opportunities a large, land-grant university like WSU can offer you are what really help mold you into someone who knows how to succeed in your field and beyond.

What is special about being a CAHNRS Coug?

CAHNRS feels like a family. I have a place in WSU and CAHNRS where I belong. CAHNRS has helped me find my passions and to thrive.

Where do you want to be (professionally or personally) 10 years after you graduate?

With a job I love and lots of pets.

Favorite class you have taken within CAHNRS so far? Why?

AFS 101 really made me feel like I had chosen an interesting, meaningful field of study.

What other extracurricular activities have you been involved in?

I currently work in a lab and am working on a molecular plant science project. I worked on this project in Valencia, Spain last summer.

Favorite Ferdinand’s flavor of ice cream?

Apple Cup Crisp!
