PULLMAN, Wash. – Discover your leadership potential, have fun, and experience college life at the Washington State University Extension 4-H Summer Teen Conference in Pullman.
This three-day program features action-filled activities, educational workshops, college and career information, and recreation. Youth will learn about education options, career possibilities, and how to develop life skills for a positive future.
Teens will live in dorms on the WSU campus, meet others from across the state, network and share new opportunities.
Charles Johnson, national speaker and executive director of the National Family Life & Education Center, will speak on how teens can tap into their creativity to achieve their goals. His presentation, “Destined for Greatness,” will be June 29 from 12:15 – 1:45 in the CUB Ballroom.
Mike Egan, director of corporate affairs for Microsoft, will address the group with his presentation “Inventing the Future.” Egan will discuss how technology impacts the world and how students can create and lead their own future. His talk will take place in the CUB Ballroom during the dinner banquet from 6:30 – 8 p.m. on June 29.
The conference is open to all youth entering grades 8 through 12. The cost is $145.00. More information and registration is available at http://4h.wsu.edu and county 4-H offices.
