WSU Ag Education Students Honored

PULLMAN, Wash. — Four Washington State University agricultural education students were honored last week by the student Agricultural Club.

John Grubbs, a senior from Deming, received the award for Outstanding Club Member. The Outstanding Academic Achievement Award went to Kerrin Molton, a sophomore, from Kennewick. The Outstanding Senior Award was shared by Erin Murphy, Poulsbo, and Tony Toretta, Mount Vernon.

“This is the first time in my 21 years at WSU as an agriculture education advisor that the agriculture instructors and faculty could not pick just one candidate for the Outstanding Senior Award, said Marvin Kleene, academic and club advisor.

“We selected two because out of the pool of excellent students, we found two that touched other peoples’ lives in an important way.”
