Valentine’s Plant Sale Scheduled Feb 12

PULLMAN, Wash. — Members of the Washington State University Horticulture Club hope to help cupid with his mission this Valentine’s Day.

The club will be holding its annual Valentine’s Day plant sale from noon-2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, at the Livestock Pavilion on the WSU campus. The pavilion is located between the French Administration building and the Lewis Alumni Centre. The sale will feature hanging begonias, forced bulbs, and bud vases.

The Horticulture Club profits from numerous activities throughout the year. “We bring in a significant amount of money which provides club members with scholarships and supports other student organizations as well,” said Sara Donaldson, club treasurer.

“We have a very determined membership,” said Larry K. Hiller, club advisor. About 20 members will get together Wednesday evening to prepare the pavilion for the event.
