Two More Days of WSU Sweet and Tart U-pick Cherries

There are still plenty of cherries left to pick at Washington State University’s Tukey Orchard, as rain interrupted picking last Friday. The fun continues Friday, July 27, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, July 28, from 10 p.m. to 4 p.m. Local residents wanting the freshest cherries available should bring their own containers for the fruit. Apricots will also be available. Cash and check are the only payment methods accepted; no credit or debit cards will be taken.

The prices for fruit are:

  • Dark cherries, $2/pound,
  • Rainier cherries, $3/pound,
  • Pie cherries, $2/pound,
  • Apricots, $2/pound.

All orchard visitors are required to sign a risk and release form.

Tukey Orchard is located at the edge of the WSU Pullman campus, at the intersection of Airport Road and Terre View Drive, past the WSU Bear Center.
