Successful Grant Writing Seminar Slated

PUYALLUP, Wash. — Strategies for writing winning grant proposals is the subject of a seminar being presented by the Washington State University Puyallup Research and Extension Center, in coordination with the WSU Office of Grant and Research Development.

The seminar will be held Wednesday, Nov. 1 at the D.F. Allmendinger Center on the WSU Puyallup REC campus, 7612 Pioneer Way E.

The morning’s featured speaker will be Dr. Eric Shulenberger with the Graduate School at the University of Washington who will talk about how successful proposals are researched, designed and crafted. As a former federal research program manager he has read more than 10,000 grant proposals.

The afternoon session will feature a “Conversation with Regional Grant-Giving Foundations,” a panel discussion with representatives of the Paul Allen Family Foundation, the Ben B. Cheney Foundation and the Russell Family Foundation.
