Welcoming new students to the start of a new academic year, Dean André Wright and faculty in Washington State University’s College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences took part in WSU’s Week of Welcome.

Cheering new Cougs at the 2018 Convocation ceremony, held Friday, Aug. 17, at Beasley Coliseum, Wright and representatives from the Departments of Apparel, Merchandising, Design + Textiles, Crop and Soil Sciences, Entomology, Human Development, the School of the Environment, and other disciplines joined new students at the All Campus Picnic immediately afterward. There, students met faculty and staff, learning about career paths and college opportunities.

The new school year official begins Monday, Aug. 20.

CAHNRS back to school events continue with the Animal Science Welcome Back Cookout, Aug. 21 at Spillman Plaza; the Food Science & Entomology Back to School Barbecue, Aug. 24 at Pullman’s Sunnyside Park; the School of Economic Sciences Ice Cream Social, Aug. 29 at Spillman Plaza; and the AMDT Welcome event, Sept. 12. Finally, CAHNRS Fall Festival, Sept. 13 at Spillman Plaza, showcases the many student organizations, clubs, and programs in the college.
