Pesticide Registration Commission to Meet July 24

PULLMAN, Wash. — The Washington State Commission on Pesticide Registration is scheduled to meet Wednesday, July 24, at the Washington State University Prosser Irrigated Agriculture Research and Extension Center.

Commissioners will discuss development of bylaws and hear a report of a tour of the lower Columbia Basin, Walla Walla Valley and the Yakima Valley by representatives of a number of chemical companies.

The commission, created by the 1995 Washington Legislature, is charged with obtaining and maintaining pesticide registrations for critical pest control needs for the state.
