New Master Gardener Manual Now Available for Order

PULLMAN, Wash. –- Holiday shopping for the master gardener who has everything? The Washington State University Extension Master Gardener Program has the perfect gift -– a comprehensive, science-based, how-to manual designed for gardening in all areas of Washington state and the Pacific Northwest.

The 640-page publication is binder ready and features full-color photographs and diagrams throughout.

“This publication is textbook quality in terms of its science and scope,” said Tonie Fitzgerald, state program leader for WSU Master Gardeners. “It contains 25 chapters by WSU faculty and other experts on subjects included in Master Gardener volunteer training.”

Chapters cover all aspects of horticulture and gardening in Washington and the Pacific Northwest, from basic botany and soil science, to forestry stewardship, integrated pest management and garden planning.
