Carlos Crovetto Lamarca, a Chilean farmer and author of “Stubble Over the Soil – The Vital Role of Plant Residue in Soil Management to Improve Soil Quality.”

WHY:
Washington’s and Idaho’s Palouse country suffers heavy erosion at times, including this winter. Senior Lamarca’s views of this environmental problem should be highly newsworthy in this region. Senior Lamarca has 20 years experience with no-till farming, which greatly reduces erosion. He has written a book on the subject and has spoken on the subject all over the world. We are told his English is excellent.
