PROSSER, Wash. – Jim Doornink, chair of the Washington Tree Fruit Research Commission, and Washington State University President Elson S. Floyd will hold a joint news conference to make a historic announcement at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 20, at the WSU Irrigated Agriculture Research and Extension Center, 24106 N. Driving directions:
Arriving at Prosser via I-82 from east or west, take Exit 80 (Gap Road). There is a truck/rest stop at this exit with McDonalds, Burger King, Starbucks, etc. but don’t turn south toward the rest area.
From the east, Exit 80 will be the second exit into Prosser. From the west, it is the first exit.
From the west, turn left at end of off ramp on to Gap Road. From the east, turn right at the end of the off ramp on to Gap Road.
On Gap Road, proceed north 1.5 miles to King Tull Road and turn right. Proceed 2.5 miles east and turn left onto Bunn Road, which ends at WSU-Prosser. The main building is the first one on the left. Large conference room is just inside main entrance.
