Inland Northwest Turf, Tree and Landscape Conference Feb 7-8

PULLMAN, Wash. The 16th annual Inland Northwest Turf, Tree and Landscape Conference is scheduled Feb. 7-8 at the Coeur d’Alene Resort in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

The education program attracts more than300 professional landscapers, arborists, master gardeners, operators of pest control companies, nursery employers, educators, students and grounds maintenance professionals from Washington, Oregon and Idaho.

“Whether you’re a small business owner, a manager of municipal lands or a grounds maintenance specialist, you won’t want to miss this opportunity to hear from outstanding presenters,” said Tonie Fitzgerald, Washington State University Cooperative Extension, Spokane County.

The conference will offer tracks on landscape design, landscape maintenance, pest management, turf and arboriculture. About 20 to 25 exhibitors are expected to participate in a vendor show that will run concurrently at the resort. Pre-conference activities include a tree-planting workshop Feb. 6. As part of that workshop, trees will be planted on the Spokane Community College campus.

Pesticide re-certification credits for Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana will be available along with continuing education units from the International Society of Arboriculture.
