Hort Club Plant Sale Scheduled for Mom’s Weekend

PULLMAN, Wash. –The annual Washington State University Mom’s Weekend Plant sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday April, 18, at the Livestock Pavilion.

The Livestock Pavilion is located between the French Administration building and the Lewis Alumni Centre.

The sale, sponsored by the student Horticulture Club, will feature a variety of outdoor plants including, geraniums, fuchsia baskets, annuals, perennials, snapdragons, petunias, pansies, and the Cougar red tomato; a tomato developed at WSU which ripens well in Eastern Washington.

Members of the club are involved in numerous activities throughout the school year, and earn scholarship points through participation. The Mom’s Weekend sale is their largest and most profitable sale of the year. The final sale of the year will be held on graduation weekend.
