PUYALLUP, Wash. – Chelan County organic farmer and mechanical wizard Grant Gibbs will lead a hands-on workshop on preparing and maintaining tractors and other farm equipment for top performance for a trouble-free farming season.
The workshop and farm tour will be held on Sunday, June 17, from noon to 3:30 pm at Gibbs Organic Farm, 11662 Freund Canyon Road north of Leavenworth. The workshop is part of the annual farm walk series sponsored by Washington State University’s Center for Sustaining Agriculture and Natural Resources, and Tilth Producers of Washington.
In the workshop Gibbs will cover such topics as maintaining equipment during the growing season, winterizing farm machinery, basic troubleshooting to diagnose problems before they become serious, favorite equipment and creative ways to use the equipment that you have.
The cost of the workshop is $10 for Tilth Producer members and $15 for non-members.
