Top Ten Dirty Secrets of Social Media

Check out David Armano’s post – unless, of course, you’re experiencing social media burnout…. The first little secret is that social media is attractive to social climbers (as Armano so politely put it): in other words, Twitter and Facebook are popularity contests. We can add to that that users of these media are, if not victims in the sense that they actually come to harm, are indeed being preyed upon by Ponzi schemers. These are the folks who say, I can get you 500 new followers per day… if you pay me now.
